The IMaC exchange was a wonderfully educational experience! During those eight months, I could discover the world of research in an international context, follow very qualitative classes, unearth a new fascinating culture, and meet awesome people! Thanks to this program, I was able to join the coordination chemistry laboratory where I could do research. My research topic was on the synthesis of Schiff-Base cluster compounds for artificial photosynthesis, and thanks to this I was able to improve a lot of qualities needed for research, learn a lot of theoretical and practical knowledge. This internship was also supplement by classes where I could also enhance my knowledge in several fields of chemistry. The IMaC program is not only an academical experience, but also a human experience. I could discover Japan, visit a lot of places, meet new people and exchange about our respective culture. So, it is also an occasion to understand cultural differences between countries and the fascinating variety that exists. An occasion to grow as a person, and not only as a chemist.
