【OUTLINE】
In recent times, the importance of safe and sustainable buildings has become more widely recognized all around the world. The recent earthquake in Turkey in 2023 was a painful reminder of the urgent need to address this challenge. To tackle this issue, *the Green Innovation Center* at Okayama University is determined to work towards Sustainable Development Goals(SDGs).

This seminar will focus on innovative strategies and technologies that can be used to promote the creation of safer and more sustainable buildings.
We will welcome six distinguished researchers from the United States, Japan, New Zealand, the United Kingdom, and Turkey, who will share their expertise on a variety of topics related to disaster mitigation.

Through the presentations, we will explore new areas of research such as sustainable timber construction, earthquake damage and retrofit, and building health monitoring centers. By sharing our valuable research and insights, we can contribute to our collective efforts to address earthquake-related issues, promote sustainable construction practices, and promote international cooperation.

We hope you will join us in this global dialogue on the safety and sustainability of building structures. We look forward to engaging in meaningful discussions and expanding our network of international researchers.
