Among them are plant-infecting viruses that cause serious damage to crops and mycoviruses infecting phytopathogenic fungi that serve as biocontrol (virocontrol agents). Also, an increasing number of bacteria and fungi mutualistic to plants that enhance plant growth and stress tolerance. Plant virus-based vectors are also developed.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h5 style=\"clear: both\">Establishment of neovirology<\/h5>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.elst.okayama-u.ac.jp\/up_load_files\/areas\/areas13_pstress\/img1.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"\" src=\"https:\/\/www.elst.okayama-u.ac.jp\/up_load_files\/areas\/areas13_pstress\/img1.jpg\" alt=\"\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Over the past century, the classical virology has been developed based on research into pathogenic animal and plant viruses.
