The formation and evolution of planets involve a complex interplay between planetary accretion, atmospheric chemistry, and mineralogical processes that occur deep within the planetary interiors. Thanks to the discovery of exoplanets, our understanding of planet formation and atmospheric evolution has been advancing by leaps and bounds.
